Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will make several stops in western Iowa tomorrow (Wednesday). The Ohio businessman will be in Pocahontas for a town hall meeting beginning at 11:45 a.m. before heading west to Storm Lake for another town hall at another Pizza Ranch at 1:15 p.m. He will be in Sac County later in the afternoon at the Bowling Alley in Odebolt at 2:45 p.m., with a final stop in Calhoun County at the Muse on Main in Rockwell City at 4:45 p.m. More details about each of Ramaswamy’s stops can be found included with this story on our website. According to Project 538’s polling average, former President Donald Trump continues to lead the GOP field among likely Republican voters with 44.7 percent support. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley are in a tight contest for second place with 17.5 percent and 15.3 percent, respectively. Ramasamy polls in fourth place at 4.7 percent, and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is in fifth with 4.0 percent. The first-in-the-nation Republican Iowa Caucuses are scheduled for Jan. 15.
