October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for the third-year, Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) will be hosting a ladies night out to promote breast health. Their Mammos for Misses event will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the MRHC conference rooms. Linda Croghan, MRHC radiology director says, “This annual event is an opportunity for area ladies to come out and enjoy a social evening with friends while also highlighting the importance of annual mammograms and women’s health issues.” Unlike many other awareness events, Mammos for Misses gives women the opportunity to have a mammogram scheduled for that day or evening and they will be offered appetizer and beverage specials from Brickhaus Brews and door prizes from attending vendors for scheduling one in conjunction with the event. The ladies attending will also be able to relax and enjoy free manicures and chair massages and then shop local businesses, including Scentsy, Tupperware, LuLaRoe clothing, homemade craft items and much, much more. For more information or to schedule a mammogram, call 655-2072.
