Executive Director of the Carroll Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Area Development Corporation, Shannon Landauer, has been involved with the Employer Educator Summit for three years. Their work with Western Iowa Advantage and Iowa Workforce Development, who host the event, brings education together with business and service providers. She said there are a variety of experts who have been invited to speak at this year’s summit on Thursday Oct. 13, at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson.
Last year, the summit was host to over 200 people at this one-of-a-kind event that aims to achieve some specific goals.
The summit is free for attendees, but registration is required. You can either contact the Carroll Chamber of Commerce at 792-4383 for more information, log on to westerniowaadvantage.com or call them directly at 515-523-1262 to participate in the Employer Educator Summit. The day will open with registration from 8 to 9 a.m. and the program will run until approximately 3 p.m. that afternoon. A full schedule can be found below.

Senator Dotzler will “fire up the team” with his plans for Enhance Iowa and how this will help recruit a workforce for Iowa.

Teams will have topics to discuss to strategize how to ensure a win for Iowa’s Businesses and Educators.

Lisa will replay the successful projects between businesses and schools this past season.

Mr. Vander Velde, Rock Valley Industrial Technology Instructor will share with everyone the amazing “touch down” their students have scored working with local businesses.
