Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) and the State of Iowa’s Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) are teaming up to host a free “Welcome to Medicare” seminar. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at MRHC’s facility in Manning. Attendees will learn valuable information on Medicare Parts A & B benefits, Prescription Drug Benefits (Part D), Medicare Advantage Plans, and Medicare supplement insurance. Participants will also learn how to spot and prevent Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse. Interested individuals must register by calling 712-655-2072 by Friday, March 22. Even those who are not yet eligible for Medicare are encouraged to attend. Nancy Danner, MRHC’s volunteer SHIIP Counselor, recommends early preparation, advising individuals to gather information six to 12 months before turning 65.
