Registrations filled up quickly for an upcoming HUB 712 seminar that will help area businesses access $96 million in capital that has been set aside by the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) for rural companies. Carroll County Growth Partnership (CCGP) Executive Director Kimberly Tiefenthaler says the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) program is an exciting opportunity for owners looking to expand.
The lunch-and-learn seminar will be held on Tuesday, April 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the HUB 712 location in downtown Carroll. Tiefenthaler says there has been so much interest in the program that it is essentially booked out.
Those wanting to attend are encouraged to contact Tiefenthaler at the Carroll Chamber of Commerce office at 712-792-4383 to see if a seat has become available. While she is glad to see area businesses looking to capitalize on opportunities like the SSBCI, she says they want to assist as many people as possible. To accommodate the demand, they plan to record the session and post it online. HUB 712 celebrated its ribbon cutting earlier this month, and Tiefenthaler says they have hit the ground running.
Tiefenthaler adds they intend to bring more programs and seminars like the one coming up on Tuesday to HUB 712, and she encourages area business owners to stay in touch by following HUB 712 online. Links to those pages are included below.
