Alice Louise Schroeder, age 76, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Accura Healthcare of Carroll with her family at her side.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Alice was born on October 15, 1947 in Bismark, ND. She was the daughter of Edmund and Barbara (Mark) Marshall. Alice grew up in Dilworth, MN, and graduated from Dilworth High school in 1965. During her school years she enjoyed playing piano, saxophone, and was a senior homecoming queen candidate. Alice also enjoyed her travels to Washington DC, Florida, Canada, and Hawaii. The greatest place, though, was Pelican Lake, MN, where her family had a houseboat and hosted many get togethers where her dad was “Captain” and her mom was the “Cook”. Alice was married to Larry Schroeder on June 10, 1978 in Cormorant, MN.
Her daughter Kristin and son Ryan brought the most joy to her life, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Throughout her life she enjoyed her family, working, her plants, shopping, buying items from magazines, reading, spending hours on the phone with friends, especially her best friend Margo, and her dogs, mostly Shorty the Chocolate Lab.
Alice is survived by her daughter Kristin (Marti) Donahue of Carroll; her son Ryan (Laura) Schroeder of Carroll; three grandchildren: Noel Conroy (Tanner), Jared Conroy, and Jacinda Conroy (Justin); four great-grandchildren: Brylei, Paisley, Brecklin, and Preston; her step-grandchildren: Parker, Addison, Bella, Owen, and Caden.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Barbara Marshall; her husband Larry Schroeder in 1995; and several aunts and uncles.
