The Carroll Children’s Museum received a generous donation from Pella Corporation to provide additional activities and amenities to the newest child attraction in the City of Carroll. Through the Pella Rolscreen Foundation, a $25,000 donation was provided to the museum to purchase a LiteZilla, a large box with light-up, moveable pegs where different designs could be made, encouraging motor skills and creativity. Newly promoted plant manager Danielle Leonard says the Pella Rolscreen Foundation wishes to support the communities in which the Pella team lives.
Leonard says the Carroll Children’s Museum applied for the money specifically for the LiteZilla, and Pella donated an additional $15,000; the organization was able to purchase a more extensive version and have extra for more ideas to be added to the museum.
The Pella Roscreen Foundation reviews applicants of non-profits 501(c)(3), public non-profits, and governmental entities submitting requests for specific projects in mind with the funding. Grants range anywhere from $10,000 to $50,000. Carroll Children’s Museum staff thanked Pella Corp. for choosing them for the donation and encouraged everyone, children and adults, to check out the new activity that is now available.
