The Manning Community Chest (MCC) collected over $12,000 in a recent fundraising drive to support non-profits, community projects, and families. MMC Treasurer Brad Vollstedt says, “We’re truly humbled by the incredible generosity of our community. This outpouring of support ensures we can continue to grant vital funds to local organizations making a real difference.” Following their latest meeting, the organization allocated $11,000 to 28 deserving local, state, and national charities, such as C-3, Manning Child Care Center, Manning Cub Scouts, Main Street Manning, and the Manning Senior Center. Additionally, Carroll County Home Care Aide Service and Habitat for Humanity will receive support, along with state-level organizations like Easter Seals and the University of Iowa Comprehensive Stroke Center. Nationally recognized charities such as the American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will also benefit from the remaining funds. Non-profits interested in being considered for the 2024 campaign should submit a letter of request with their 501(C)3 documentation to the Manning Community Chest by September, as their next campaign kicks off in November 2024.
