Ann (Mayr) Mitchell, 59 of Phoenix, Arizona, and formerly of Carroll, died Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Horizon Assisted Living in Phoenix, Arizona.
A memorial service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 1 PM at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Officiating will be Rev. Cindy Johnson. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Arcadia.
Following the burial family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful life Ann lived at the Sharp Center.

Ann Geralyn Mayr Mitchell was born on January 10, 1965 in Carroll, Iowa to Leo and Helen Mayr and passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024, at the age of 59. Ann’s presence touched many lives, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Ann is survived by her loving son, Ryan Mitchell; her three sisters, Margie Bierl (Kevin), Heidi Mayr, and Molly Amundson (Steve), her brother, John Mayr; and her nieces and nephews, Ariel Bierl, Austen Bierl, Kelsey Amundson, Alexa Bierl-Gruen and Hannah Amundson. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Helen Mayr and two infant siblings. Ann’s family was central to her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Ann dedicated her career to the service industries, where her kindness and hard-working nature shone brightly. Known for her caring and loving personality, Ann was a social butterfly who formed deep connections with those around her. She had a unique gift for making others feel valued and loved.
Ann’s legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
