The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) has released its latest report on the state’s most pro-business lawmakers following the 2024 Iowa Legislative Session. ABI President Mike Ralston says, “We want to thank and recognize the 37 State Representatives and 24 Senators who voted with Iowa business at least 90 percent of the time during the 90th General Assembly. By working with ABI’s member employers, these legislators distinguished themselves for their shared vision of economic growth and a sound business climate.” The report analyzed how legislators voted on a variety of industry-specific legislation, such as limits on malpractice lawsuit payouts, property tax reform, apprenticeship programs, and more than a dozen other bills. District 11 Representative Brian Best of Glidden, who is not seeking reelection in November, scored 87 percent from ABI. District 6 Senator Jason Schultz of Schleswig, who is on the ballot in November, scored 91 percent. A link to the ABI’s 2024 Legislative Session voting report is included below.
