Carroll County Growth Partnership (CCGP) announced this week the recipients from the organization’s latest round of grants, awarding $16,000 to local businesses. Six of the seven applicants for the CCGP Micro Façade Grant Program were chosen to receive $1,000 to assist with façade improvements, such as paint, window updates, signage, and more. Recipients include 412 on Main in Coon Rapids, Thielen Tax & Accounting in Glidden, and four Carroll businesses, Options Ink, Bloom Floral Design, Fusion Dance, and Starline Lanes. Due to a limited number of applications, a second grant window will open from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31 for Carroll County businesses to apply for a portion of the $4,000 remaining in the program. Application details are included with this story on our website. CCGP also announced four recipients for the Jump-Start Accelerator Grant Program, which is designated for local businesses looking to open new facilities or expand on existing ones. Five-thousand dollars will be awarded to 412 on Main in Coon Rapids, $2,000 to Klean Getaway in Carroll, $2,000 to Starline Lanes in Carroll, and $1,000 to Speech Pathways in Carroll. The CCGP Grant program is now in its second year. Executive Director Kimberly Tiefenthaler says, “Small- and medium-size businesses are so important to our communities throughout Carroll County. Continuing to offer these grants is just a small way we are able to give back, help our communities, and increase the investment and development taking place. Congratulations to all the recipients. The continued success of these CCGP grants is exciting, and we look forward to continuing the program in the future.”
