Denison’s St. Rose of Lima Parish has launched a $2 million capital campaign, Witness His Glory, to enhance its worship space. Planned upgrades include new stained glass windows, a high altar, statuary, lighting improvements, murals, and a new baptismal font. Some artwork will be repurposed, while others will be new additions. It will also tie in aspects from each church in the parish, including a Last Supper rendering from St. Ann’s in Vail, the St. Rose statue from the original church, and new statues of the Sacred Heart, St. Boniface, and St. Ann. Church leaders previewed some of the planned work during Masses over this past weekend, and parishioners were presented with artistic renderings and project details. Fr. Michael Cronin says $495,000 of the $2 million goal has already been pledged. The campaign has a three-year pledge period, with the improvements expected to be completed by fall 2025. St. Rose of Lima Parish serves Denison, Manning, Vail, Manilla, Charter Oak, Dow City, and rural residents in that area. Photos of the planned work and details on how to support the campaign are included below.
