Calhoun County Sheriff Says Suspect In Custody After Juvenile Female’s Death In Farnhamville

Authorities in Calhoun County say a suspect is in custody following the death of a teenage girl in Farnhamville. According to Calhoun County Sheriff Pat Riley, a juvenile female was reported missing on Sunday, Sept. 22, and deputies responded to Farnhamville to investigate the report. A male subject was detained during the initial response. Law enforcement located the body of the missing girl this (Monday) morning, identified as Jane Doe. Charges against the suspect are pending, but officials say no other details will be released at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Iowa State Patrol, Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, and various other local law enforcement agencies assisted in the investigation.
