The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County have donated nearly $15,000 to first responders in the organization’s third major donation of 2024. The group held its quarterly meeting near the beginning of September and selected the Guthrie County First Responders Association to receive $14,600. The association was established in 2023 to enhance emergency response capabilities by training new responders to the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) levels. The funds will be used to train and equip responders to improve medical response times, especially in rural areas. Guthrie County Public Health Director Jotham Arber says, “Thank you so much to the 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County for helping us begin to fulfill our mission of doing good and being G.R.E.A.T. (Guthrie Responders Equipped and Trained). We are forever grateful for the impact we know your contribution will have on the first responders in Guthrie County!” The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County group, which has donated over $357,000 to local projects and initiatives since its inception in 2017, meets quarterly to support local causes. Their final 2024 meeting is scheduled for Nov. 19 at St. Thomas More Center at Lake Panorama. Women interested in joining the philanthropic group can use the contact points included below for more information.
