An Omaha man died yesterday (Monday) morning following an early morning single-vehicle crash north of Adair. According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of White Pole Road and Frontier Road at approximately 2:50 a.m. after a driver reported a vehicle in a nearby field. The initial investigation determined that 41-year-old Ross Ingalise of Omaha had been traveling northbound on White Pole Road in a 2004 Kia Optima and failed to negotiate the curve, entering the north ditch. The vehicle then collided with an embankment and a telephone pole, snapping the pole in two before coming to rest in a field northeast of the intersection. Authorities say Ingalise was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, as he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Adair Fire Department assisted the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office in responding to the crash. Monday’s fatal accident marks the second Omaha resident killed in a motor vehicle accident over the last several days.
