A Kiron woman was sentenced to serve two-years probation for putting contaminants in a victim’s gas tank in December 2023. According to Carroll County District Court records, 43-year-old Antonia Mireya Sanchez was taken into custody on Jan. 22 for pouring a “substance” into the victim’s gas tank at approximately 5:45 a.m. on Dec. 31. Authorities say video surveillance footage in the area caught Sanchez in the act. Damage to the vehicle was estimated to be around $2,500. On Oct. 24, Sanchez pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony, and was sentenced to probation and various other fines and court costs. All conditions of probation must be fulfilled, or deferred judgment and probation may be revoked and any sentence imposed as authorized by law.
