Election Night Results — Audubon County

Audubon County reported that over 75% of registered voters turned out for this year’s election, the highest percentage-wise of all the counties in the listening area. Of the 4,206 voters residing throughout the county, 78 percent casted votes, showing more support for Republican party candidates. Only two contested races were running in the county: two open seats for the Audubon County Board of Supervisors, four candidates seeking the position, and the county auditor. Republican candidates Kent Grabill and Donald Mosinski won the supervisor’s seat, with 35 percent and 25 percent, respectively, outvoting Nathan Wahlert and Douglas Sorensen. Incumbent for Audubon County Auditor Lisa Frederiksen (Rep.) won the contested race against Christena Hemmingsen with 74 percent of the votes. The current county sheriff, Todd Johnson, will receive 97 percent of the votes in the uncontested race.
