Minnesota Man Sentenced To 25 Years For Sexually Abusing Calhoun County Teen

A Lamberton, Minn. man has been ordered to serve 25 years in prison for sexually abusing a 13-year-old victim at a rural Calhoun County home earlier this year. According to Calhoun County District Court records, 37-year-old Troy James Holicky was initially charged with four counts of second-degree sexual abuse, a class B felony, for engaging in sexual contact with a 13-year-old female on July 10-11, 2024, following an investigation by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Rockwell City Police Department, and Calhoun County Attorney’s Office. As part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, Holicky pled guilty to one count, and the remaining counts were dismissed. A district court judge ordered Holicky to serve up to 25 years in prison, 17.5 years of which must be served before becoming eligible for parole. Holicky was remanded into the custody of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office pending transport to the Iowa Medical and Classification Center for processing.
