City of Pomeroy water customers will be without water starting at 10 a.m. this (Monday) morning while crews work to repair a break in the system that was discovered. According to city officials, all customers will be impacted by the unexpected outage, and following the return of service, a boil order will be in effect. Residents are to boil any water that is to be used for consumption, including drinking, brushing teeth, making ice, etc. City water can still be used for activities such as showering or doing laundry. The advisory will remain in effect for at least 48 hours once service is restored to confirm that there is no bacterial contamination in the system.
