A 17-year-old juvenile male from Mason will be heading to jury trial for an attempted murder charge for harming an individual after having his electronic device taken away. According to Calhoun County District Court records, 17-year-old Teaghun Birchard of Manson was taken into custody on Oct. 30 after getting physical with another adult male living in his residence in Manson, going after him with scissors and threatening to kill him when he was denied access back to his electronic devices. Birchard has plead not guilty to one count attempted murder, a class B felony. A jury trial has been scheduled for Feb. 18 at the Calhoun County Court House. A class B felony carries a maximum penalty of up to 25 years in prison.
