Loring Hospital in Sac City is pleased to announce that after a state-wide search, they have selected Linn Block as their next Chief Clinical Officer. Block took over leadership duties for all clinical departments and activities yesterday (Monday). Coming from a nearby 25-bed critical access hospital where she was the Chief Nursing Officer as well as Chief Clinical Officer, she is bringing years of experience in a leadership role to Loring Hospital. She was also responsible for a 36-bed telemetry unit at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort. Dodge, Loring’s UnityPoint affiliate. CEO, Brian Martin, said much of Block’s previous experiences mirror their services and programs, making her an ideal fit at Loring and an asset towards fulfilling their mission and tradition of excellent patient care. Block is a native of Lake City. She and her husband, Nick, live on the family farm with their three children, Joey, Jacob and Brinkley. She received a bachelor of science in nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines and a masters in hospital administration from the University of Minnesota.
