Three local financial institutions have been named to Newsweek’s list of 2025 Best Regional Banks and Credit Unions. The rankings, conducted in partnership with Plant-A Insight Group, assessed approximately 9,170 financial institutions and included data from more than 71,000 customer interviews. The study evaluated financial health, profitability, risk exposure, lending activity, and customer satisfaction, bolstered by 1.9 million social media reviews and 129 million app reviews. Availa Bank, headquartered in Carroll, earned 4.5 stars from Newsweek, while Home State Bank in Jefferson earned five stars, and Dupaco Community Credit Union earned four stars.
