Carroll Chamber Of Commerce Presents Heritage Business Award To Security Title And Investment

The Carroll Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual banquet Thursday evening and presented awards to community leaders, volunteers, and local businesses. One of the businesses to be recognized was Security Title and Investment with the Heritage Business Award. The company was founded in 1925 and purchased by Wayne Harmening in 1950. The evening’s emcee, Tim Fitzpatrick, says recipients of the award have shown a commitment to Carroll that goes above and beyond.

Brian Moore with Availa Bank introduced this year’s recipient.

Moore says a common theme of Heritage Business Award recipients is a multi-generational family’s commitment to the community, and that is apparent with Security Title and Investment.

Wayne Harmening passed away in 2023, and his son, Mark, and the family accepted the award at Thursday’s ceremony on behalf of the company. Harmening says owning and operating a business in Carroll is a privilege.
