A Carroll High School (CHS) instructor was recognized on Friday for being one of the elite instructors using the IXL Learning program in his classroom. Eric Nagl, a special education teacher, received the award on Friday, Nov, 18 and says students have seen numerous benefits in the time they used it.
The software teaches math, science and English to students by using modern technology and allows them to access the material from nearly anywhere. Nagl uses the math portion of the software and has seen students benefit from this modern method of teaching.
He says it is nice to get this kind of recognition, but he feels like the accolades should be spread out.
Over 250,000 instructors worldwide use the IXL software in their classroom and only a handful of those were selected as an Elite 100 Teacher. This award places Nagl in the top 0.04 percent of those instructors.
