The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a red flag warning for all counties in the listening area tomorrow (Friday), recommending individuals to refrain from outdoor burning until conditions improve. The warning is in effect from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday evening. A combination of the warm temperatures, with the low humidity at 25 percent, no expected precipitation, and wind gusts between the upper 20’s to 50 miles per hour will cause any fire started to potentially go quickly out of control and spread. NWS advises to use caution if operating heavy equipment and to not carelessly discard cigarettes onto the ground. As of this (Thursday) afternoon, no burn bans have been put into effect.
