The Manning and Templeton Fire Departments were called out to a car completely engulfed in flames along Hwy 141 yesterday (Wednesday) evening. The call came in around 5:45 p.m. to a vehicle fire just east of Manning. No injuries were reported as all occupants were able to get out of the car, but the vehicle and all possessions inside were deemed a total loss. Manning Fire Chief John Lorenzen says crews were on the scene for approximately half an hour, putting out the fire, believed to be caused by a mechanical issue. The owner of the vehicle, Cheyenne Marie Babcock, has organized a GoFundMe to assist in replacing the family car, her children’s car seats, and other items. A link for those wishing to donate has been included below.
