The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education is holding a special meeting to determine specifics for the proposed replacement of the Carroll Athletic Field. Due to complaints about ambiguous ballot language during the last attempt to approve a Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL) in 2011, the board plans to have the wording be clear as to what voters are actually voting on. Ways to finance the stadium to reduce tax-payer cost will be another topic the board will discuss at the meeting. At the Carroll Stadium Committee’s request, the board will also review uses for the field to make it a more community oriented facility rather than just a school one. The meeting takes place on Thursday, Dec. 1 at noon in the Adams Elementary School boardroom.
