The Carroll County Republican Central Committee has elected Jason Hoffman of Manning as its new chairperson. Hoffman succeeds Craig Williams, who stepped down after 16 years in the position. Williams, also of Manning, currently serves in the Iowa House of Representatives for District 11. Williams says, “We’ve seen consistent, positive growth for Republicans in Carroll County over the last sixteen years,” said Williams. “It’s been my sincere honor to work with members of the Committee and fellow Republicans, but it’s time to inject new blood into the organization. I’m grateful for Mr. Hoffman taking on the challenge.” Hoffman brings a strong background in public safety and local government to his new role. He serves as Carroll County’s communications director and 911 coordinator and has held leadership positions with emergency response organizations at the state level. Hoffman has also been a volunteer firefighter and reserve police officer for two decades. He previously served on the Manning City Council and sits on the city’s Board of Adjustment. As chair, Hoffman says his goal is to foster party unity and community engagement in Carroll County.
