Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds’ Committee Ended 2016 With Nearly $1.1 Million

The Kim Reynolds for Lieutenant Governor Committee announced on Wednesday in its end of the year fundraising report that the organization finished the year with nearly $1.1 million cash-on hand and raised $637, 910 in 2016. Reynolds raised over $100,000 more last year than in 2015. In a statement, Lt. Gov. Reynolds thanked Iowans for assisting her financially. “I am grateful and humbled to have the support of so many Iowans throughout our great state,” she says. Reynolds will become the first female governor of Iowa when current governor, Terry Branstad, resigns to become ambassador to China. Seventy-six percent of contributions to the committee were under $300, and 95% came from Iowans.
