The Audubon Community Cinema group is currently in the process of restoring the Rose Theater in Audubon and is holding a special fundraiser next week for community members to help the cause. Volunteers will be on hand from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, where they will be busing and serving tables at El Adobe Restaurant in Audubon to earn donations and tips. One-hundred percent of proceeds will go back to meet some of the expenses for the $500,000 restoration project. The organization aims to have the Rose Theater finished and operational by the end of the summer in August, and they will be providing tours of the Rose Theater during those for those wishing to see their progress since acquiring the building in December 2015. The Audubon Community Cinema group says it is only 75 percent of the way to their fundraising goal.
