The head men’s basketball coach for Creighton University, Greg McDermott, has been selected to perform the keynote address at the 21st Annual Sioux City Diocese Bishop’s Dinner for Catholic Schools. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Sioux City Convention Center. Cascade, Iowa native, McDermott, has led the BlueJays since 2010 and recorded 141 wins and 72 losses in his first six seasons at Creighton. His overall career record is 422 wins and 267 losses and eight trips to the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) tournament. McDermott has served as head coach at Wayne State College, North Dakota State University, the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University and is father to NBA Oklahoma Thunder player, Doug McDermott. Tickets for the fundraising dinner will go on sale Aug. 14 and can be purchased through contact points listed below.
