Local authorities are awaiting autopsy results on a Carroll child whose death last week was ruled suspicious. The Carroll Police Department was called to a residence at 504 West 3rd St. at approximately 7:10 a.m. last Friday morning on a report of an unresponsive four year old. The child, Morris Wurok, was not breathing and was rushed to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy was performed Saturday at the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny, however, results of lab work from that examination could take several weeks.
