The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Audubon man on allegations of sexual misconduct. Fifty-one-year-old Timothy Duane Smith was taken into custody at his residence on an outstanding arrest warrant and charged with second-degree sexual abuse, a class B felony. The charge stems from an investigation into an incident that occurred in the 3100 block of Pheasant Avenue between 2009 and 2013. Smith is being held at the Audubon County jail on a $10,000 bond. A class B felony carries a maximum punishment of 25 years imprisonment. The incident remains under investigation.
