Court Date Rescheduled For Carroll Man Charged With Intent To Deliver Meth

The court date for a Carroll man accused of multiple drug violations has been rescheduled. Thirty-nine-year-old David Alexander Schroeder’s jury trial was originally slated for Tuesday, Feb. 13 in District Court for Carroll County and will now be held Tuesday, March 20. He has pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a class B felony, and possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. The charges against him stem from an investigation in April of 2017 in which officers from the Carroll Police Department located substances believed to be marijuana and methamphetamine on his person. Test results from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Laboratory confirmed those allegations. If found guilty of the charges, Schroeder could serve up to 25 years in prison.
