The Iowa Department of Agriculture and the Iowa Pork Producers Association are scheduled to make an announcement on a new water quality partnership Friday, March 30. Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Naig, and Iowa Pork Producers Association President, Gregg Hora, will take part in a watershed planning meeting at Ag Partners in Albert City prior to making their announcement. The 10 a.m. meeting will begin with a discussion on innovations in watershed planning, including efforts to target edge of field practices, such as wetlands, bioreactors and saturated buffers. The partnership announcement will follow that discussion at 11:30 a.m.
