The Glidden City Council is gearing up for another summer of road construction and has selected a company to complete the projects. The council approved a nearly $150,000 bid on Monday to replace 15 sections of roadway within city limits from the same business that handled the last several years of road work in town, Blacktop Service Company. The work will consist of grinding the streets, applying asphalt and sealing the new surfaces on portions of First, Second, Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Streets as well as Arizona, Dakota, Idaho and Montana Streets.
