A woman was killed yesterday (Wednesday) morning in a single-vehicle accident just south of Casey. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 28-year-old Sheana Marie Story, of Des Moines, was traveling westbound in a 2006 Ford Fusion on Interstate 80 at approximately 6 a.m. when the car drifted off the roadway and struck a cable barrier on the shoulder. The vehicle proceeded into the ditch and rolled several times before coming to rest on its wheels. Story was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair County Medical Examiner. The Adair County Sheriff’s Office and Adair County Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
