St. Anthony Announces Father Boekelman Is Serving As Staff Chaplain

St. Anthony Regional Hospital (SARH) announces a new member to their spiritual team with the addition of full-time Chaplain, Father Tim Boekelman. He joined the hospital earlier this month and will be serving alongside Chaplain Angelo Luis as a spiritual and life resource to St. Anthony patients, nursing home residents and staff members. This addition will allow Peg Scheidt, part-time staff chaplain, to retire in November. “I am extremely thankful to have received this position with the St. Anthony Spiritual Care team,” Boekelman says. “This will allow me to continue serving the wonderful people in our community, while also embarking on a great new professional opportunity.” Boekelman has been an associate pastor at Holy Spirit Parish in Carroll for three years and as parochial vicar at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison for the past four and a half years. The Algona native currently lives in Carroll and has a bachelor’s degree in math, a teaching certificate as well as a master’s degree in guidance and counseling. He attended the St. Meinrad School of Theology and was ordained in 1977. Since then, he has served in numerous parishes, all within the Sioux City Diocese.
