The 2018 Farm Progress Show in Boone will be getting underway Tuesday, Aug. 28, running through Thursday, Aug. 30. The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Boone County Engineer’s Office are working together with a private traffic control company to install signs and provide clear markings on the routes to be used to get to the permanent site on Iowa Highway 17, just north of U.S. Highway 30 in Boone County. Troopers from the Iowa State Patrol will be working the intersections along the route to ensure traffic moves in a safe and efficient manner. Motorists are reminded to expect slow traffic and delays and are expected to obey all traffic laws, pay attention to signs, flashing lights and always follow officers’ directions.
