The Carroll High School (CHS) Drama Department’s next production debuts later this week. This year’s show will be a drama, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.” Senior, Zach Shook, plays Christopher Boone, a high school student with autism that discovers his neighbor’s dog dead in the back yard. Shook says the audience gets thrown into the story right away.

The play follows Christopher’s efforts to prove his innocence and find the real killer. The story is told from the main character’s standpoint. Jadon Henderson plays a variety of roles throughout the play and has seen the show prior to acting in it. He says audience members are treated to a gripping story from a unique point of view.

Shook says many of their recent productions were comedies or musicals and switching to drama provides an added challenge for the students.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time has two showings scheduled, one on Friday, Nov. 2 and another on Saturday, Nov. 3. Both shows will begin at 7 p.m. at the Carroll High School Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the high school office or at the door for $7 for adults and $5 for students.
