The Carroll County Wellness Coalition is looking to spring and planning for their upcoming Live Healthy Iowa 5K walk/run on Saturday, April 13 at Swan Lake State Park. And right now, they are putting out a call for volunteers to help out in a variety of different ways that day. Organizer, Cara Vogl, says they are looking for people to help them set up in the morning, to register participants, provide route control, man the finish line or to help out with the children’s 1K. Not only will the volunteers ensure that these types of healthy and fun activities can continue in the community, as an added bonus, they will also receive a free t-shirt as a thank you for their efforts. Volunteers are asked to contact Vogl by March 15, however, to ensure they will get the t-shirt. Please let her know your shirt size and if you are planning to run or walk that day so they can coordinate to accommodate participation. Vogl’s contact information is included below.
