The Carroll County Fair gets underway tomorrow (Tuesday) with static exhibit judging and the dog and hog shows on Wednesday night. More judging, shows and competitions are scheduled for Thursday night as well before a slew of fun activities are planned for the remainder of the week and through the weekend. President of the Carroll County Fair Association, Jim Mohr, says they are really excited about one of the highlights, the mini rodeo, that will be held Friday night.
The show, he says, would average two and a half hours with that many participants. Mohr adds that some big names will be headlining the entertainment options for 2019. Right after the rodeo on Friday night, one of the top five in America’s Got Talent will be taking the stage.
However, Mohr says he wants to make sure that those who work year round towards showing at the fair are recognized as well.
Saturday night will feature a fireworks show following the figure 8 races, and new to the Carroll County Fair this year, is a drive-in theater showing “Dumbo” on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. in the Entertainment Building. The parade will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning followed by the kiddie carnival, mud volleyball, the tractor pull and much, much more. The cost of admission is only $5 for the entire day and a schedule of events can be found by following the link included here.
