With the recent approval of a record number of small refinery waivers and the uncertainty this has created for Iowa’s rural economies, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association is urging their supporters to come together at the 2020 Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit on Jan. 16 at Prairie Meadows Conference Center in Altoona. Director, Monte Shaw, says we need to unite to empower, promote and advocate for the renewable fuels industry. “From foreign trade to domestic policy, biofuels face a number of challenges and opportunities,” Shaw says. “At this year’s summit, we will dive into how we can unite as an industry to empower biofuels producers toward success, promote the many benefits of ethanol and biodiesel-from reduced emissions to economic prosperity in rural communities-and advocate for the role renewable fuels are ready to play in a low-carbon, high-octane energy future.” The summit is open to the general public and free to attend, however, registration is required and can be down through the link included below.
