No injuries were reported in a near-miss accident that occurred at approximately 4:08 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) in the 900 block of Q Ave. northeast of Jefferson. The Greene County Sheriff’s office responded to find the 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass, driven by 55-year-old Timothy Lowell Wilson, in the ditch. Wilson was southbound on Q Ave. when he came upon a semi-tractor and grain trailer parked along the roadway. He was unable to stop and drove his vehicle into the ditch to avoid a collision with the grain trailer owned by David Lee Ausberger of Jefferson. No damages were reported and Wilson was cited for failure to maintain control.
