Eileen Marie Drees of Carroll

Eileen Marie Drees, age 63, of Carroll passed away unexpectedly at her home in Carroll on Sunday, December 8, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Carroll Church of Christ with Pastor Ben Kolars officiating. A private burial service for the family will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Tempelton at a later date.
Visitation will be held at the Church of Christ in Carroll from 3:00 – 4:45 P.M. on Friday. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwodhouse.com
Born on November 12, 1956 in Carroll, IA, Eileen was the daughter of John and Colette (Muhlbauer) Willenborg. She grew up on her family’s farm near Templeton and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1975. Following high school Eileen attended cosmetology school in Spencer, IA. She returned to Carroll to open her own business, Appearance Plus, which she operated for almost 30 years. The business was later named Salon on Sixth, before she moved to Studio Seven in 2012. Eileen married Robert Drees on November 13, 1976 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton. To this union two daughters were born: Andra and Jessi. Eileen had a passion for her business. She enjoyed educating other hairdressers through workshops and helping women with cancer obtain a wig. Eileen loved going on adventures with her grandchildren allowing them to get as dirty as possible and encouraging them to explore nature without boundaries. She was a member of the Carroll Church of Christ.
Eileen is survived by her two daughters Andra Reason (Robert) of Ames and Jessi Drake (Todd) of Tiffin; five grandchildren: Elliot, Ava, Taylor, Korinn, and Jonah; her mother Colette Willenborg of Carroll; a sister Joan Wunschel (Rick) of Wall Lake; two brothers: Lynn Willenborg (Reyna) of Denison and Allen Willenborg of Carroll; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Eileen is also survived by her good friend and companion Dr. David Martin of Carroll.
Eileen was preceded in death by her father John Willenborg.
