The Jefferson Police Department is investigating a report from a resident claiming his roadster had been taken without permission and then crashed in a nearby county. At approximately 1:01 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, law enforcement was contacted by the victim, who told authorities his Yamaha Slingshot had been wrecked in Dallas County. The responding officer contacted law enforcement in Dallas County to verify the man’s allegations and is continuing to investigate the incident.
