The IKM-Manning Community School District Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting for tonight (Monday) to discuss the facility plan. The public is invited to join them at 6:30 p.m. at the Irwin building. The planning process began after the board received an assessment on the district’s buildings last March. This detailed that their facilities are beginning to show their age and identified which areas were in need of attention as well as delineating the priority levels. In November, at the third public meeting, the community was encouraged to provide feedback as options on the direction the district could take were presented. These details were then discussed formally at the board meeting on Nov. 21 as the members continue to work toward final plan development.
