According to WalletHub, a financial advisory website, Minnesota ranked first with North Dakota landing at third and Nebraska in the eighth position. Iowa came in at the top of the rankings for the most affordable housing followed closely by Nebraska in the number two spot while Minnesota boasted the highest median family salary. The states finding themselves at the bottom of the list include Louisiana and Mississippi with New Mexico in the 50th spot.
