Deadline For Rental Code Ordinance Comments And Questions Is 5 P.M. Today

For nearly a year now, the City of Carroll has been working to develop a rental housing code ordinance and associated inspection schedules and fees. On Monday, March 9, they will hold a workshop for council members, renters and property owners to come together and discuss the proposed code. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says today (Thursday) is the deadline for anyone to submit comments or questions on the document.

He says staff members are working through what has been received so far. Everything coming in will be presented on March 9 in a couple of different ways.

Pogge-Weaver stresses this is the channel through which concerns and questions will be delivered to the council during the work session. These can be submitted via email at cityofcarroll@cityofcarroll.com or delivered to City Hall at 627 N. Adams St. Anyone with questions or who needs more information can reach city staff at 792-1000. A link to a draft copy of the proposed ordinance can be found with this story on our website.
