Carroll County is one of the best counties in the state at social distancing according to a recent report from a data analytics firm. According to cell phone data provided by Unacast, a company that generally focuses on tracking consumer behaviors, county residents have reduced their mobility by over 55 percent compared to before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. This puts Carroll in the top five percent of Iowa counties at an “A” rating along with Winneshiek, Mitchell, Adams and Dickinson.
